SRES Students Celebrations:
Our students work hard everyday to meet our school communities high expectations as written in our Mission Statement. People who work hard also need to be recognized for their efforts. To that end, here are two examples of opportunities for student recognition at SRES:
*Reading Challenge--each month many of our students participate in the PTO sponsored Reading Challenge program. Students receive public recognition at one of our all school meetings and also get prizes and certificates for the number of pages read. I also get to take out to lunch students who read the 10,000 page level! A majority of our students, K-5th grade, participate in Reading Challenge.
*Annual spring music concert--each year our music teacher, Alisa Daigneault, works with all classes to present a musical extravaganza. This year the SRES spring concert will be on Thursday, April 15th, 6:30 PM at Bellows Falls Union High School. Bring family and friends and help us celebrate musical talents of our students.
End of Second Trimester:
The 2nd trimester at SRES ended on March 12th. Report cards will go home with students in the Monday mail folders on the 22nd. Even though we do not have official parent conferences at this time of year, you are always more than welcome to schedule a meeting regarding your child.
Upcoming Events:
No school for students (teacher workshop): March 19
PTO meeting: April 14th, 7-8:30 PM, SRES library
SRES all school spring concert: April 15th, 6:30 PM, Bellows Falls Union High School
